Ground Turkey and Penne Casserole

uncooked penne:
1/2 Pound
GROUND TURKEY:
1 Pound
chopped sweet onions:
3/4 Cup
seeded and chopped bell pepper:
3/4 Cup
diced tomatoes with green peppers and onions:
1 (14.5-Ounce) can
tomato sauce:
1 (8 ounce) Can
salt:
1/4 Teaspoon
freshly ground black pepper:
1/4 Teaspoon
ground allspice:
1/4 Teaspoon
shredded Italian blend cheeses:
1/2 Cup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cook penne in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Meanwhile, spray a 2-1/2-quart baking dish AND a large, heavy nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Set baking dish aside.

Over medium heat, cook ground turkey, bell pepper and onion in skillet. Stirring frequently, cook 5 minutes or until turkey has lost all pink color and is cooked through.

Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, black pepper and allspice. Cook 2 minutes.

Stir in cooked and drained pasta. Place turkey mixture in baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
