Italian Turkey Loaf
| 1 Large egg |
| 1 14-1/2 Can diced tomatoes with dried herbs, undrained AND divided |
| 1/2 Cup finely chopped onion |
| 1/2 Cup quick-cooking oats |
| 1/3 Cup grated Parmesan cheese |
| 1/3 Cup chopped parsley |
| 1 Teaspoon black pepper |
| 1/2 Teaspoon salt |
| 12 Ounces ITALIAN TURKEY SAUSAGE, removed from casings |
| 8 Ounces GROUND TURKEY |
| 1/3 Cup spaghetti sauce |
| |
- Heat oven to 375°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick foil.
- Beat egg in large bowl; stir in half the tomatoes, onion, oats, cheese, parsley, pepper and salt. Mix in sausage and ground turkey until blended. Place on lined pan and pat into a 9 x 4-½-inch loaf.
- Bake 45 minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted in the center registers 160°F. Remove from oven, brush loaf with spaghetti sauce and bake 10 minutes more or until sauce looks set and the internal temperature registers 165°F.
- Let stand 10 minutes before slicing. Meanwhile heat remaining canned tomatoes and serve with meat loaf.
