NTF’s 2016 Annual Report shows significant growth in the turkey industry. A huge focus through the NTF Turkey Demand Project has been to tell our story to those who can then influence supermarket shoppers and restaurant customers. Additionally, the fight against Highly Pathogenic Avian influenza (HPAI), the dominant issue of 2015, continued into 2016. Export markets for U.S. turkey slowly opened again during 2016, through concerted efforts on many fronts by NTF, the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) and APHIS.
