Smoked Sausage Stuffing

Ingredients
1 Pound SMOKED TURKEY SAUSAGE, chopped
1/4 Cup onion, chopped
1 Can (8 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
2-1/2 Cups French bread, day old and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 Cup pine nuts, toasted
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/8 Teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 Tablespoons Pesto sauce
 
  1. In large skillet, over medium-heat, saute sausage and onions, until turkey is cooked throughout and onion is translucent. Drain and set aside.
  2. In large bowl, combine mushrooms, bread, nuts, egg, cayenne pepper and Pesto Sauce with sausage mixture.
  3. Stuff turkey breast as indicated in Stuffed Turkey Breast with Pesto Sauce recipe.
