Italian Turkey Sausage and Veggie Pizza
| Ingredients |
| 1 pound ITALIAN TURKEY SAUSAGE, casings removed if necessary |
| 1 12-inch thin-crust pizza shell |
| Vegetable spray |
| 2 cups onions, thinly sliced |
| 1 cup carrots, shredded |
| 1 cup green or red pepper, seeded and sliced |
| 1 cup mushrooms, sliced |
| 1 cup broccoli florets |
| 1 cup artichoke hearts, sliced |
| 10 cherry or grape tomatoes, cut in half |
| 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese |
| 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese |
| |
- In large, nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, cook sausage, breaking up large pieces, until browned (about 5 to 6 minutes); drain and place on pizza shell on large cookie sheet.
- Spray skillet with vegetable spray. Over medium-high heat, cook onions until tender and golden brown. Spread onions over pizza crust.
- Re-spraying pan with vegetable spray as necessary, individually cook carrots, pepper slices and mushrooms, scattering each over onions.
- Arrange broccoli, artichokes and tomato halves on top of pizza.
- Sprinkle pizza with cheeses and bake in preheated 450-degree F oven for 10-15 mintues, or until cheeses are melted.
