Turkey Burgers with Caramelized Onions
| Caramelized Onions |
| 2 Tablespoons garlic flavored olive oil |
| 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter |
| 3 Large sweet onions, peeled and sliced into 1/4-inch rings |
| 2 Tablespoons sugar |
| 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar |
| To taste salt and freshly ground black pepper |
| |
- In a large, heavy skillet, heat oil and butter over medium-low heat. Stir in onions and coat with oil mixture.
- Cover and slowly cook until onions are soft, about 10-13 minutes. Add sugar and cook about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Stir in vinegar, salt and pepper. Cook until onions are soft and golden brown.
- Remove from pan and hold for service.

| Turkey Burgers |
| 2 Pounds GROUND TURKEY |
| 2 Large eggs, beaten |
| 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce |
| As needed salt and freshly ground black pepper |
| |
- Measure 1/2 cup caramelized onions and dice onions into small pieces.
- Mix onions, ground turkey, beaten eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix gently to blend.
- Form into six burgers.
- Per order: Grill turkey burgers over medium direct heat until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.

| 6 Each hamburger buns, buttered and grilled |
| As needed leafy green salad |
| |
- Place cooked turkey burgers on buns and top with remaining caramelized onions. Serve with a leafy green salad.
