Ingredients
4 Ounces commercial broccoli slaw, shredded
4 Ounces red cabbage, shredded
6 Ounces Swiss cheese, grated
3 Ounces commercial Thousand Island dressing
1 Tablespoon honey style mustard
1 Teaspoon celery seed, crushed
16 Slices rye bread
1-1/2 Pounds TURKEY PASTRAMI, thinly sliced
 
  1. In a medium bowl, toss broccoli slaw, cabbage, Swiss cheese, dressing, mustard and celery seeds. Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary.
  2. Layer bread slices with 3 ounces turkey pastrami. Top with portion of cabbage/cheese mixture. Top with bread slice.
  3. Repeat with remaining sandwiches. Cut each sandwich on the diagonal. Secure each sandwich half with a frilled toothpick.
