Mother’s Cranberry Sauce


Yield: 2+ Cups

3/4 Cup cold water
1/4 Cup orange juice
1 Cup white sugar
3 Cups fresh or frozen cranberries
3/4 Teaspoon freshly grated orange zest
 
  1. In a medium saucepan, boil water, juice and sugar over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add cranberries and simmer, stirring occasionally, until berries just pop, about 10-12 minutes. Stir in orange zest.
  3. Cool, cover and store in refrigerator for up to 3 days.
