National Turkey Federation Unveils Latest Turkey Trends with "Virtual Menu 2003"
Arby's® Market Fresh™ Menu Leads NTF Interactive Launch

Washington, D.C. (January 2003) - The National Turkey Federation (NTF) kicks off its latest initiative to highlight the growing popularity of turkey across cuisines and market segments with its "Virtual Menu 2003" program in February on www.eatturkey.com. The campaign will focus on new menu trends as well as turkey's success in independent and family establishments and its growth in fast casual restaurants, with Arby's Market Fresh Roast Turkey and Swiss sandwich leading the way.

"The National Turkey Federation is thrilled to have Arby's - a perennial leader in the foodservice industry - as a partner in launching our new interactive program," comments Sherrie Rosenblatt, NTF's director of public relations. "'Virtual Menu 2003' will offer operators new and innovative applications for trends such as sandwiches, salads, soups and ethnic dishes, confirming that turkey products help build a successful menu."

Each month a different turkey trend will be featured on www.eatturkey.com with selected foodservice operations - from independents to national chains - offering a popular turkey item from their menu, as well as a plate shot, food costs when available, and a discussion with a restaurant representative on the benefits of turkey and why they choose to serve it. Once a dish has been featured, it will be added to a "Virtual Menu Classroom" page and will continue to be linked to NTF's recipe database. There foodservice professionals can access not only the new menu items but also a library of more than 450 innovative turkey applications and 30 celebrity chef demonstrations.

The National Turkey Federation is the advocate for all segments of the U.S. turkey industry. It's award winning web site www.eatturkey.com offers successful on-line professional chef cooking demonstrations and a searchable database of more than 300 recipes that exhibit turkey's versatility as a profit-building item, which enhances menus in all meal occasions during every season of the year. Operators can also go to www.eatturkey.com to sign up for the RecipE-mail program to register and receive unique recipe ideas that add flair to holiday and special occasion menus year-round.
