NTF Promotes Three Staff Members

WASHINGTON, D.C. - March 10, 2004 - National Turkey Federation (NTF) President Alice Johnson announced three staff promotions: Sherrie Rosenblatt to senior director of marketing and communications; Brie Wilson to manager of government affairs; and Kellye Moss to member services and public affairs coordinator.

"The Executive Committee and I would like to congratulate these three dedicated, hard-working staff members who are committed to the NTF mission," said Johnson. "With a strong marketing, regulatory and membership staff, we can more efficiently protect and promote the turkey industry."

As senior director of marketing and communications, Rosenblatt will ensure future federation marketing programs build awareness of turkey products through various distribution channels. Rosenblatt is also responsible for designing and implementing the public relations program to enhance the image of the U.S. turkey industry and NTF. During the past five years, Rosenblatt served as director of public relations for the federation.

Before joining NTF, Rosenblatt spent 15 years at Food Marketing Institute, the trade association for the supermarket industry. She received a bachelor's degree in human ecology from the University of Maryland.

As manager of government affairs, Wilson will work on regulatory issues that affect turkey processing. She will manage the Technical and Regulatory Committee as well as the newly formed Human Resource and Worker Safety and Health Committee. Wilson will have an expanded role acting as a liaison between NTF members and government officials.

Wilson was most recently the government affairs coordinator. She joined NTF after graduating from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, with a bachelor's degree in political science.

As member services and public affairs coordinator, Moss will oversee all NTF membership services, planning federation conventions and meetings, as well as scheduling turkey industry workshops and seminars. She will also coordinate activities for TURPAC, the turkey industry's political action committee. Moss has worked for the federation for a year and a half, serving as member services assistant. She joined NTF after graduating from the University of Virginia, with a bachelor's degree in sociology.
