WWW.EATTURKEY.COM Debuts New Look For Recipe Database Complete With More User-Friendly Features Washington, D.C. (March 2004) - The National Turkey Federation (NTF) has launched a new recipe database at www.eatturkey.com with a distinctive recipe card design and enhanced functionality. The database is accessible right from the home page, which uses vibrant, food photography, new flash animation and easy navigation to connect operators to culinary trends, turkey success stories and menu applications. The database of more than 650 foodservice recipes offers a number of new features. Operators can now search by key words or any combination of several other criteria, such as dish, establishment, ethnicity, meal, occasion, preparation method and turkey product. Recipes may be e-mailed, printed in three sizes (8" x 10", 3" x 5" or 4" x 6") and added to a shopping list. Additionally, each recipe provides the source, including chef and establishment, educator or student and institution or NTF member. Whatever the source, all recipes are foodservice tested before uploading to eatturkey.com. "The recipe database is the most popular section of the site so it has to be engaging and easy to use," notes Sherrie Rosenblatt, NTF's senior director of marketing and communications. "All our efforts are focused on keeping eatturkey.com a valuable resource for operators and that means fresh design, innovative content and ever increasing functionality." All of the foodservice sections of eatturkey.com have adapted the contemporary recipe card look and include more user-friendly features. From the home page, visitors can link to the latest turkey trends and menu success stories in the recently launched "Turkey, Savor the Success" Web features. Also on the home page are links to the "Virtual Menu 2003" Web series of trendy turkey salads, soups, sandwiches and entrees, the library of 30 celebrity chef demonstrations, the "what's new" section of recent site additions and the Recipe E-mail program registration form. Operators can also access a foodservice page from the home page. Here all eatturkey.com's offerings for foodservice operators are organized on one screen with links to everything from frequently asked questions to the culinary curricula in the turkey foodservice manual.
