(December 2003) – The National Turkey Federation (NTF) has announced the addition of a collection of recipes to the foodservice database on www.eatturkey.com, representing a wide range of day parts, applications and cuisines. Developed by chefs, foodservice directors and other culinary professionals, close to 70 new recipes were discovered throughout 2003 and include the following dishes among others:
“Visits to our recipe database are up more than 40 percent this year over 2002,” says NTF’s Senior Director of Marketing and Communications Sherrie Rosenblatt. “It’s a very popular section of the site and one we’re committed to enriching with new tested foodservice recipes for operators seeking new and innovative applications for this nutritious protein.” To access NTF’s recipe database, log onto www.eatturkey.com, click on “recipe database,” then “foodservice” and finally the “search now” button. The database is searchable by meal type, ethnicity, preparation method and turkey product. Operators may also share their own turkey creations by submitting recipes for database consideration to info@turkeyfed.org. For operators who want the convenience of recipe delivery direct to their desktops, eatturkey.com offers an E-Mail Recipe Program. From the homepage of eatturkey.com simply click on the Recipe E-Mail sign up icon and follow the instructions. Every month, recipes, turkey trends and news will arrive packaged in an attractive HTML format with dynamic graphics and color photography.
