The National Turkey Federation (NTF) announced the top five most-viewed foodservice recipes of 2007 from its recipe database at EatTurkey.com. Foodservice professionals recognize the Web site as a reliable and user-friendly source for successful turkey menu ideas, with more than 900 recipes available to search. Despite the increased number of online recipe resources this year, EatTurkey.com maintained prominence and sustained nearly 340,000 foodservice recipes viewed. The five most-viewed foodservice recipes for 2007 were: - Creamy Turkey Soup - Sierra Turkey Sandwich - Turkey Vegetable Lasagna - Kentucky Hot Brown - Smoked Turkey Ratatouille Melt “The most popular recipes always reveal shifting food trends and this year is no different: all three newcomers are creative sandwich variations,” comments Sherrie Rosenblatt, NTF's vice president of marketing and communication. The Sierra Turkey Sandwich, Kentucky Hot Brown and Smoked Ratatouille Melt reflect chefs’ interest in meeting consumer demand for sandwiches with options that will distinguish their menus from others.

EatTurkey.com offers recipes for all types of sandwiches including those using ethnic flavors, artisan breads and bold sauces. Creamy Turkey Soup and Turkey Vegetable Lasagna are well-established chef favorites, having topped the charts for several years. Remarkably, out of over 900 recipes, the Creamy Turkey Soup has been a winner since 2004 when NTF first started tracking recipe views. “The paradigm of indulgence when dining-out is changing such that there is no longer a question that Americans are embracing wellness. Customers now expect menus to include fresh, flavorful options with lean proteins like turkey," observes Rosenblatt. “This makes EatTurkey.com an obvious and valuable resource.” Visit the searchable foodservice recipe database for these popular recipes and many others at http://eatturkey.com/foodsrv/recipes.html.
