National Turkey Federation Online Survey Leads to Better Internet Services on

An online survey conducted by the National Turkey Federation (NTF) provided information that allowed NTF to offer better content on their Web site, The survey found that 88 percent of foodservice operators currently use turkey in their operation. Nearly all operators (95%) said they are very likely or somewhat likely to increase the number of lower fat protein items on their menus due to the government dietary guidelines released last year.

“The foodservice operator survey armed NTF with information that will enable us to better serve this community on the federation’s Web site,” said Sherrie Rosenblatt, NTF’s director of marketing and communications.

Based on the findings, NTF adjusted content on An online series that features information about different turkey products including a product description, cooking instructions and recipe ideas has been launched. This series will familiarize operators with a variety of turkey products so they can easily add turkey to their menu. Nutrition information and healthy recipes have also been added for those looking to add healthier items to their menu.

NTF continues to seek further operator insight through the launch of a new online survey. The new survey asks how turkey products are being utilized in operations and what barriers might still exist. This information will help NTF further develop its Web site to better serve foodservice operators.
