National Turkey Federation Conducts Survey at Eatturkey.com
How Do You Menu Turkey?
WASHINGTON, D.C., May 1, 2005 -
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
According to new foodservice operator research, 57 percent of the foodservice operators include turkey on their menu and more than a third of the operators who aren't serving turkey, plan to include it within the year.
The growing interest in turkey has prompted the National Turkey Federation (NTF) to launch an online foodservice survey concerning how operators are offering turkey on their menus. It also asks the reasons why turkey is not included. The survey can be found in the foodservice section of EatTurkey.com.
"The turkey industry continues to provide turkey products, such as fully cooked turkey breasts and deli products to make it easier for restaurants to provide healthy, tasty menu options for their customers," said Sherrie Rosenblatt, NTF's senior director of marketing and communications. "By completing the survey, operators can provide insight on products and trends that will serve and improve how the turkey industry fills the foodservice industry's needs."
It only takes foodservice operators five minutes to complete the survey. The survey will be available on-line until August 2005.
The results of the survey will be announced later this year.
